Beer Review: Magic Hat: Revell, Choatic Chemistry, Blind Faith

Shortbeard Steinsmasher come to tell of a surprisingly good beer on top side. The majority of Human, elf, and even wizard tongue lubricators should be labeled as swill and piss water compared to a good Dwarvin mead. Every now and then the opposite is true when a brew master can be found hidden among fools.

When I first came upon the "Magic Hat" sign it appeared from around the bend of a lush green mountain in Bartlett bay South Burlington. The symbolism of the label made me think of wizards and magic, and if you did too you would have been correct.

We toured the facilities and bought garbs of beer in all sizes. Pints, gallons, tankards, and twelve pack bottles that come wrapped with tiny metallic Jimmy-hats*.

Wizardry Marketing aside the first beer we tried is a rare porter called "Ravell". They told me it's only brewed on nights when Venus and Mercury line up on a full moon. It's alcohol content is slightly higher than the typical shit human beer at 5.6. One gets a surprising amount of flavor mixing Warrior, and Fuggles hops together with English Yeast. It creates a blend of vanilla been and chocolate, but while tasty the apparent bitterness might be too much for a normal human. To that I say grow a pair... of better taste buds.

"Chaotic Chemistry" a name reminiscent of my first days on the job at the royal brewery. This potent elixir will make the timid heart brave in love or battle. It's alcohol content is 9.9 rising close to entry level dwarvin percentages. It appears the wizards use dark arts in this one as well to p
rocure a copper glow of a thousand setting suns. I know I had a copper glow after one, and after two I fell into song with my friends. From now on I will readily look to this Witchcraft of an ale for a good night, but first make sure the axe is locked up and at home! Not surprisingly it is brewed with warrior hops.

At the bottom of my last cask back home you will always find a deeply malty Pale Ale. Magic Hats equivalent would be their refreshing and perfectly balanced Brew "Blind Faith". On my long trip through
the enchanted Smokey Mountains in and out of breweries this ale aided in deciphering many a confusing road sign. It's alcohol content is a whistle-while-you-work 6.2, SO LET THE ADVENTURE BEGIN!

Here are some pictures of my adventure to the Magic Hat Brewery.
